6" Replacement Window for Filters. These windows, which fit all 6" Hi-Flow, Dry-Sump, and Screw-On See Through Filter Assemblies, are made of 1/2" thick polycarbonate. The thickness of the windows is the only minor variation that is given. The polycarbonate sheets used have a tolerance of +/0.010 in thickness. The thickness of the windows is either 0.475'', 0.480'', or 0.485''. By looking through the window, either towards the center of a 4'' filter or close to the intake ports of a 6'' filter, for a number 475, 480, 485, or 490 referencing the window retainer used for the correct thickness of window, you can identify which window is required for your filter.
Part

The 6" Replacement Polycarbonate Sight Windows are made of 1/2" thick polycarbonate that is coated on both sides with a thin glass-like AR2® (abrasion resistant) layer. As a result, the window is immune to scuffs, substances, solvents, and petroleum oils. With the exception of a few "common brands" of brake clean, these Windows can be cleaned. Because it does not bend or expand with heat at the same rate as polycarbonate, the thin glass layer may eventually shatter. Windows should be durable and survive for many years, but if a crack is noticeable, they should be replaced. It is advised that you have a spare sight window and the Part #120 O-Ring Kit because sight windows may be changed very easily.
